Plymouth Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club ("the Club", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, why, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

Who we are
The data controller is Plymouth Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club, Whiteford Road, Mannamead, Plymouth, PL3 5LZ.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at psfddpo@gmail.com

What information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message content you choose to provide. We only use this to respond to your enquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours uses a small number of cookies:

-
Essential cookies — used by Wix, our website platform, to make the site function correctly (e.g. remembering your session, load-balancing traffic). These are always active and cannot be switched off, as the site would not work properly without them.
-
Analytics cookies — we use Wix Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are popular), so we can improve it. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can accept or decline these cookies via the banner shown when you first visit the site.

We use a cookie consent banner (provided by Usercentrics) to ask for your consent to analytics cookies when you first visit the site. You can change your preference at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer, or through your browser settings.

Why we process your information and our legal basis
We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who we share your information with

-
Wix.com — our website hosting and forms platform, which processes data on our behalf as part of running the site. See Wix's own privacy policy for details of their data handling.
-
[Volunteer rota provider — to be named once the committee confirms SignUpGenius or Wix Bookings] — if you sign up for a volunteer shift, your name and email address are processed by this third-party scheduling tool for that purpose only.
-
We do not share your information with any other third party, except where required by law.

Photographs
Our Photo Gallery page may include photographs of club members and visitors taken at matches, events, and social occasions. Photographs of identifiable individuals are treated as personal data. If you would like a photo of yourself removed, or did not wish to be photographed, contact us at psfddpo@gmail.com and we will remove it promptly. Where a photo includes a child, we seek a parent or guardian's agreement before publishing it.

How long we keep your information

Contact form enquiries are kept for up to 12 months from the date of your message, then securely deleted, unless a longer period is needed to resolve an ongoing query.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
-
Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it
-
Ask us to correct inaccurate information
-
Ask us to delete your information
-
Object to or restrict how we use your information
-
Ask for your information to be provided in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at psfddpo@gmail.com.

How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Children

Our website is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children through the contact form. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as the website adds new features in Phase 2 (such as online membership payments). The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
